Working as part of the Finance Transformation Programme, the integration Specialist will be based in the Information Services group of the University, who are tasked with the effective delivery of IT services to support the Collegiate University. They will work as part of a team responsible for the integration and development of critical business systems, working closely with colleagues within IT services, and the Integrations workstream lead, to deliver a package of changes., Pivotal in developing integrations from legacy systems to the current and future Finance system (Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion). You will develop and define the integration build, accept software modules from software developers, and produces builds for loading onto the target environment. You will produce integration test specifications and conducts tests, recording details of any failures and carrying out fault diagnosis. You will adopt and adapt appropriate systems design methods, tools and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches, and ensures they are applied effectively. You will make recommendations and assesses and manages associated risks. Reviews others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. There will be the responsibility to ensure the system design balances functional and non-functional requirements. Creates and contributes to development of systems design policies and standards and selection of architecture components.
You will be able to demonstrate a logical and pragmatic approach to integrations with the ability to adapt to meet the delivery needs. You will have experience in leading successful technical change in operational and project settings using various methodologies alongside expert knowledge in system design and integration and expert knowledge of building complex system integrations Alongside these you will possess:
* Excellent planning for short, medium and long term using MS Projects
* Understanding of ERP (preferably Oracle Financials)
* The ability to share technical knowledge and skills to increase the available pool of skilled staff
* Expertise in several relevant programming languages used in the development of enterprise systems
* Highly proactive, persuasive, and enthusiastic
