Are you ready to take the next step in your career? If you're looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to move into a senior role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Our client is a highly regarded, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in a sought-after district of South West London. With a true ‘London village’ atmosphere, the practice is nestled in a charming Victorian high street, just a short walk from the River Thames, with excellent transport links and a vibrant café culture. Due to their dedicated senior vet setting off on new adventures, they now have an opening for a veterinary surgeon to step into a senior position and play an integral role in the practice.
Part of a well-established group of veterinary practices that has grown to 46 locations, three flagship hospitals, and its own nurse training college, this practice offers a supportive and progressive working environment. The team prides itself on its high standards of care, and the practice itself holds an RCVS accreditation alongside an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic silver award. It is fully equipped for diagnostics, blood testing, x-rays, and surgical procedures, with the exciting potential for an ultrasound facility if you have a keen interest in diagnostic imaging. More complex cases can also be referred to their sister 24-hour RCVS-accredited hospital, just 15 minutes away, which also provides all out-of-hours services.
You will be joining a knowledgeable and experienced team, supported by a dedicated regional manager. The practice places great value on its people, offering a Colleague Forum to ensure voices are heard, monthly Town Hall meetings with senior leadership, and mental health first-aid-trained managers to provide ongoing support.
In addition to this senior role, the practice is also looking for a part-time vet to join on a 2-3 day per week basis, with some cross-over with the senior vet one day a week. If you’re looking for additional days, there is potential to combine this role with work at another nearby practice. The standard rota for the senior position is Monday to Wednesday, though they are open to a four-day week with flexibility on the days. You will be working alongside a fantastic senior RVN and a passionate team of trainee nurses, with a 1:3 branch Saturday and a 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation, plus one bank holiday per year.
If you’re excited by this opportunity and can see yourself thriving in this environment, get in touch today to discuss the role further.
