At Asda, we are on an accelerated growth journey to transform our business and we have an exciting opportunity for Convenience Channel Managers to join our Food team.
Our dedicated Convenience division is a large part of our ambitious transformation and growth plans over the next 3 years and we’ve recently made some exciting acquisitions in this space.
This is a great time to join the Convenience team and your role will be crucial in refining and optimising the commercial proposition covering Range, Price, Promotion and other strategic initiatives.
As a Convenience Channel Manager you will:
1. Align to a Business Unit(s) to be the Convenience champion to develop a winning commercial proposition.
2. Embed yourself as a key stakeholder within the Business Units.
3. Work alongside the dedicated Convenience team including Supply, Merchandising, Finance and Operations to help deliver.
4. Be the key link between the overarching Convenience channel objectives and the needs of your Business Unit(s) objectives.
5. Deliver the right range in the right stores.
6. Optimise availability.
7. Ensure Convenience prices are to the agreed framework.
8. Offer a compelling and profitable promotional plan.
9. Help develop and optimise ways of working within the team.
10. Champion convenience with the supply base.
11. Unlock an omni-channel approach to the Customer proposition.
12. Interpret market data and make sustainable financial decisions to support performance improvement.
13. Be accountable for recommendations to improve the Convenience P&L.
14. Work cross-functionally to deliver your Business Unit strategy within the Convenience channel.
15. Help deliver the synergy/harmonisation benefits.
16. Contribute to the wider community of best practice across the other Convenience Channel Managers.
17. Build and upskill others on the Convenience channel.
18. Increase productivity in the business unit through consistent processes and ways-of-working.
