Job Description Targeted Hourly Pay Range: Minimum of $27.00 to a maximum of $29.00 POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to contribute to the design and development of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems within our Metering Services team. The candidate will assist in various projects including designing metering systems for utilities such as Electricity, Water, Gas, and others. The candidate will learn about creating communication backbones for remote data access and collection, developing Bills of Materials, improving CAD templates, and acquiring various other technical skills. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience and the chance to contribute to the team's success in delivering innovative metering solutions. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES : · Assist in the design and development of AMI systems for new and existing projects · Interpret engineering construction drawings for various commercial buildings, office spaces, and/or laboratory facilities and gather necessary information required for preparing specification of metering equipment · Create and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD and other drawing tools as required · Support project documentation and reporting · Assist in finding creative ways to improve internal processes related to designing new projects, communication between different teams for efficient project execution, handing over completed projects and related data to appropriate team, etc. · Be exposed to multiple cross-functional teams within the department and collaborate with them to ensure project success. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is a professional, business casual office setting located close to mass transit in Boston's Financial District. This position may include fieldwork and/or travel. Qualifications Education / Experience / Background · Candidate for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related fields · Prior experience with AutoCAD projects is strongly preferred · General understanding of the electrical power distribution systems preferred but not required · Basic knowledge of communication systems preferred but not required. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities · Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings for various types of buildings and spaces. · Proficiency in AutoCAD drawing tools is a must. · Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members and management at all organizational levels. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Knowledge of Microsoft Office or GSuite tools. · Outstanding organizational and time management skills. · Self-motivated and able to receive, incorporate, and grow from constructive criticism.
