Security Technician
Working hours: Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered)
Permanent
Salary: up to £48,208 (depending on experience)
Location: hybrid working with offices and site visits across the region
About the role:
You will be responsible for supporting all security systems across the team and ensuring that compliant security solutions are operational across the business. You will have a key role in ensuring that the company's security position is continuously improved by using the best systems and technologies available.
The role will require you to develop technical instruction, plans, and procedures to support the work of the Security Team. You will aid others in the team in developing a protective security culture throughout the organisation.
You will create, develop, and implement technical solutions to support the work of the security team, deliver training on security systems, test products, and evaluate new technologies to influence a positive change in the security-mindedness of all employees.
You will develop, manage, and deliver security compliance across the company’s asset base. You will resolve technical security issues, manage programs of work, and ensure that security engineering contractors are controlled and supported where required.
You will monitor security compliance, investigate incidents and breaches, and report on security non-compliance. You will work with site owners providing them with security advice and assistance.
About you:
You will have proven experience in security systems and technologies, working with an organisation with high-security assets.
You have proven operational experience working with physical security design, developing and delivering technical security solutions that you have supported and tested.
You have led programs of work, ensuring that specifications and standards are followed, work is controlled, and of a high installation quality. You have worked and trained others to fully understand system use and active security systems.
You will have proven technical working knowledge of security systems and fully understand how these systems are wired, operated, configured, and communicate across network infrastructure.
You will have proven experience of leading projects, contracts management, installation programmes, and routine maintenance activities, ideally with security systems and delivery programmes.
Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.
This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
