Job Description
Overview:
As a Vehicle NVH CAE Engineer, you will develop current and future vehicle programs and methodologies in NVH Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). You will be responsible for developing and optimising body and closures structures to meet vehicle, system, and component requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop state-of-the-art CAE methods and train new starters.
* Build, assemble, and analyse complete vehicle and system-level finite element models.
* Assess Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) requirements for full vehicles, bodies, and components using latest CAE methods & tools.
* Develop and optimise at vehicle, body, and component levels to meet requirements.
* Define NVH requirements and perform correlation studies with physical test data.
* Develop process improvements to enable faster, enhanced, more robust analysis.
* Assist with the development of NVH attribute targets and competitor benchmarking.
* Present study conclusions and proposals at Global Centre of Excellence level.
Key Requirements:
* M.Sc. or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Extensive experience within Automotive Engineering and NVH CAE at an established OEM.
* Thorough understanding of finite element analysis.
* Hands-on experience with solvers like NASTRAN and OPTISTRUCT.
* Experience with Optimisation & DoE toolsets like Optistruct & Hyperstudy.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum depending on experience.
