Location: Wellington, Somerset with agile working. Regular travel required, predominantly across Devon & Cornwall.
Salary: c.£33,000.00 per annum, plus company car or car allowance
Contract Type: Up to 2 years Fixed Term Contract
Working Hours: Core Hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0900 – 1700. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a need for flexibility around working hours, to include some unsociable hours in the evening.
Purpose of the Role & How You Will Contribute:
Working as part of the TB team, you’ll be contributing to the delivery of the NFU’s strategic aim of eradicating Bovine TB. Your role will focus on co-ordinating the delivery of a large-scale badger vaccination project in the Southwest, providing specialist advice, knowledge, and support to NFU colleagues and members on various TB control measures.
You'll work closely with landowners, farmers, and other key stakeholders, playing a critical role in project planning, co-ordination, delivery, and reporting, bringing together results to help influence and develop an evidence-based approach to future delivery.
What You’ll Bring:
With a relevant degree and proven expertise in your specialist area, you’ll ideally have an agricultural background and experience working with farmers or food producers. You’ll be an articulate communicator and negotiator, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to research, analyze, and collate complex issues clearly. You’ll also be an inspirational leader and problem solver, capable of managing project teams and prioritizing your work.
