You will assist with any new initiatives or projects where automation will play a role for HCC's future. You will be responsible for working with HCC's wide-ranging departments and service delivery teams to build automation solutions following specifications and solution designs that have been provided. You will take ownership of and resolve any incidents as and when they are reported. Alongside this you will contribute to project meetings and work with Project Managers and the business to provide robust, future-proof and bespoke applications that follow the standards set out by HCC. About you Essential: Efficient scripting and programming At least 18 months' experience in automation tools such as MS Power Automate, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Version control; familiarity with source code control (e.g., Git) Problem solving and critical thinking; analytical skills and debugging skills Desirable: Software development lifecycle experience with methodologies such as DevOps, Agile Advanced programming in multiple languages Database management; knowledge of working with SQL databases Cloud technology skills, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 The General Applications Team is supporting an organisation-wide transformation programme, focused on maintaining quality service provision by the most efficient means. In this role, you will be developing automations that contribute to making people's day to day work more efficient, enabling staff to concentrate on more complex issues and, in turn, improve Hertfordshire residents' lives.
