Mploy Staffing Solutions Ltd is looking for a part time & temporary Maintenance Operative to work on assignment for a highly valued client in Weymouth, Dorset.
Why should you be interested? We’re offering:
1. a pay rate of £15.70 per hour (£117.75 per week & £6,123 per annum).
2. one day per week working with our client, 7.5 hours, between Monday to Friday, working day to be arranged.
3. 28 days of annual leave per annum/pro rata with holiday accrued weekly. Paid out at end of assignment if not used.
4. a 48-hour notice period.
5. a workplace pension scheme with auto enrolment after 12 weeks on assignment.
In return for these excellent benefits our client is looking for a candidate who:
1. has experience in working in a maintenance capacity with experience in maintaining a safe & functional physical environment.
2. has or is willing to undertake a DBS check, level to be confirmed.
3. has experience in:
* acting as a key holder.
* activating, disabling and fault finding a security alarm system/relevant sensors.
* checking fire alarm systems including weekly, fortnightly & monthly testing/recording – including supplementary equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire Suppression Systems etc.
* observing, reporting & undertaking basic repair on plant room faults such as central heating, electrical circuits etc.
* escorting, observing and reporting on guest contractors/trades in the past.
* receiving maintenance consumables and storing/distributing appropriately.
* undertaking planned & reactive cleaning/fixing certain areas, drain & toilet experience is highly desirable.
* setting up and clearing away furniture for certain events.
* supporting waste management and clearance activities, bin emptying, collection access etc.
* maintaining tools and reporting on broken equipment.
* working safely within company policies & procedures, risk assessments, Lone Working policies, using relevant PPE, RAMS, COSHH registers etc.
* working as part of a wider team flexible liaising with appropriate stakeholders.
* inspecting and maintaining grounds/play equipment. You’ll be comfortable working outdoors in adverse conditions.
