Our UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components. What will I be doing?
1. Provide leadership and support to production in ensuring that supplied products or services meet customer and regulatory quality and safety standards.
2. This is a supplier facing and interaction function.
3. Lead QRQC meetings and implement a "stop at first defect" ethos.
4. Lead investigations and troubleshooting for product and production issues at the point of error with suppliers.
5. Be the point of contact with supplier and customer quality departments regarding non-conformance and quality-related questions/issues (this is not supplier compliance/approvals).
6. Arrange and lead Material Review Boards to disposition non-conforming products or services regarding supplier delivered products.
7. Arrange and lead cross-functional teams in applying problem-solving tools (such as 8Ds and RCCA) to address non-conforming products.
8. Own the Non-conformance data and manage NCR's to conclusion.
9. Manage disposition and return to Vendor process.
10. Monitor and analyze Non-Conformance data and present at management and supplier review meetings.
11. Collaborate with the purchasing department and suppliers to develop and implement quality control systems and process/product improvements.
12. Perform verification and validation activities in support of New Product Introductions, and have oversight and approval of FAI and PPAP processes for purchased parts and services.
13. Process mapping to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant workflows and procedures.
14. Maintain Continual Professional Development to keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends and technologies that concern product quality.
15. Support supplier performance management, purchasing department, and supplier including selection, offload strategies and PPM measures and supplier scorecards.

What do you need from me?
1. Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
2. English and Maths GCSE grade 9-4 (A-C).
3. Six Sigma / continuous improvement.
4. Excellent diagnostic/problem-solving skills & ability to perform systematic analysis of written and numeric data.
5. PC literate and ability to use software tools.
6. Interpretation of Technical Manuals, drawings and Instructions.
7. Ability to clearly demonstrate achievement of set objectives.
8. Ability to understand manufacturing processes and technical drawings.
9. Excellent communicator at all levels.
10. Ability to build relationships with internal departments and external supply chain.
11. Some UK travel will be required.
12. Appreciation of FAIR & PPAP processes.
13. SAP / MRP.
14. Relevant qualifications or experience within similar role in an aerospace discipline.
15. Understanding of airworthiness standards and requirements.
16. Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within Safran Group and suppliers.
