We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated person, to work as part of the school’s Reading Recovery team, supporting students receiving literacy interventions. This position would suit a Qualified Teaching Assistant, a High Level Teaching Assistant or someone with a suitable relevant qualification in Teaching and Learning.
The position will involve working with our students who are not yet at age-related expectations in literacy. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to work within an important and expanding area of our school. Experience of working in an educational setting, ideally in a primary or secondary school, is essential.
You will:
• Have a relevant qualification (either qualified TA, HLTA or equivalent)
• Have a good knowledge of literacy
• Have good interpersonal skills and be a strong communicator
• Have a positive approach to working with students to support them in achieving success
• Be able to prioritise and manage tasks independently and within a team environment.

Qualified TA: Grade F, Point 6 – 12, £25183 - £27711 FTE (pro rata renumeration will be dependent on hours)
HLTA or equivalent: Grade G, Point 8 - 20, £25992 - £31586 FTE (pro rata renumeration will be dependent on hours)
• Hours between 20 – 35 per week, flexible, but within the school day
• 39 weeks per year: term time + inset • Permanent contract
