Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker-Worcestershire/Shropshire
The role of Crisis Worker is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower service users to feel in control and be able to support during the forensic to manage patient care pathways.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
* 1st point of contact for service users.
* Support process of service users and their family visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collecting of forensic evidence.
* Ensuring that a high standard of DNA anticontamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
* Assisting patients and liaising with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
* Assisting with preparation, service user support and acting as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
* Be a key player within the SARC team and wider company network.

Job responsibilities
Location: The Glade SARC HUB site, Bransford - Worcestershire
Additional Locations, including but not limited to: The Glade Telford SPOKE site and Kidderminster
Salary: The payment rates for this role are a shift retainer of £45.84 Monday - Friday; plus additional attendance payment of £46.50 per case.
Rota Patterns: 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am and 1am-9am, you will also be able to cover days, nights, and weekends, 24 hour rota pattern.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner, applications are invited from females only.
* This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
* Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be a requirement of the role across SARCs, therefore a UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle.
* Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
Experience
* IT skills and basic administration.
* Experience working in a supportive or customer focused environment.
* Kind caring nature.
* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
