We are delighted to be partnering with one of our national clients as they look for additional interim support for the next 3 to 4 months. They are looking for a trusted pair of hands that can hit the ground running and support the financial function of their Southampton team.
Location: Central Southampton (Free Onsite Parking)
Duration: 3 Months (Potential to Extend or Possibly Permanent)
Working Hours: 4-5 Days in Office per Week
You will be a highly skilled Accounting and Finance Supervisor who has experience in mentoring a small team. This role involves supervising two skilled direct reports and managing various accounting tasks. While the position is temporary for three months, there is a possibility of extension and a slight chance it could become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform double entry bookkeeping, prepayments, and accruals.
2. Conduct control account reconciliations and maintain tidy trial balances.
3. Manage a multi-company month-end close down process.
4. Handle credit control, particularly within public sector clients.
5. Experienced in Sage Line 50 for accounting tasks.
6. Use intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Requirements:
1. Strong experience in double entry bookkeeping and month-end close processes.
2. Familiarity with Sage Line 50.
3. Intermediate Excel skills.
4. Experience in credit control, especially with public sector clients.
5. Ability to work in the office at least 4-5 days a week. 40 hours a week.
