Are you an experienced accountant? If you’re analytical, detail-oriented and take a holistic approach, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. We’re seeking a highly organised individual to join our Finance team. You’ll provide a seamless service to internal and external customers.
You’ll have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of insured and non-insured businesses. You’ll lead, support and perform accounting processes within the Record to Report team, ensuring complete and accurate accounting records are maintained.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Ipswich office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
* Lead processes to control, update and maintain the General Ledger accounting records for several AXA UK companies.
* Maintain a robust framework of internal controls to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and reliable.
* Process lead 3 FTE’s.
* Identify, design, and implement production processes improvements to increase efficiency.
* Define and provide financial information, interpretation, analysis, and support to customers.
* Liaise with Group Tax for preparation of taxation charges for actual results under IFRS and Solvency reporting.
What you’ll bring:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with demonstrable industry experience - essential.
* Proven track record in accounting with strong Excel skills – essential.
* In-depth knowledge of accounting for insurance and non-insurance companies under IFRS - essential.
* Extensive knowledge of Solvency reporting for insurance and non-insurance companies.
* Understanding of company policies, business processes, procedures, and systems for wider business plans.
* Good understanding of process management.
* Ability to meet crucial and demanding deadlines.
* Able to take tangible steps to build relationships across teams.
* Awareness of current issues in financial services environment.
