Pilgrims Hospices is looking for a Corporate and Community Fundraising Assistant who will be responsible for helping to support the charity’s fundraising ambitions. They will cultivate, motivate and develop business relationships and giving contributions within the east Kent community.
The Role
The role will engage with donors and help to develop the cultivation of business organisations; generating sustainable income from supporters, businesses and major donors through fundraising activities, donations, events and partnerships. This is a hybrid role and will support Corporate Fundraising for 3 days per week and Community Fundraising for the remaining 2 days. This is a flexible role, which helps to support the wider team during busy peak periods.
The postholder will ensure all fundraising activities are developed and delivered to the highest standards and that supporters receive the best possible care; putting the donor at the heart of Pilgrims’ supporter care and ensuring progression and stewardship through the range of giving opportunities.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time permanent role and is based at Pilgrims Hospices’ Fundraising Offices in Canterbury (Hospice-Wide).

About You
To be successful in this Corporate and Community Fundraising Assistant role you should:
* Demonstrate a good understanding of the principles, methods & management of events & supporter led fundraising.
* Have an understanding of the principles of relationship development either commercially or ideally charitably focused.
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Have a broad knowledge and understanding of the principles of marketing and use of social media to promote fundraising activities.
* Have good IT skills – able to use word-processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, databases, email and social media.
