Malt Operations - Brora (Pipeline and Talent Pool Opportunities)

Roles within this exciting business area can vary from Day to Senior/Shift Operators based in our Distilleries, Maltings, and Bio-Plants. Salaries range from £31,947 (Day Operator) to £58,997 (Senior/Shift Operator incorporating Shift Allowance) and includes a competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!
About the roles
Senior Operator
As a Senior Operator within our dedicated teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in the whisky production process and will oversee and control all site production and process activities. You’re going to be responsible for both manual and automated production recording and management reporting systems. We want to see how you will optimise our production processes to maximise our performance.
Key Deliverables are:
* Deliver and improve performance targets in safety, quality, service, cost and asset care.
* Maintain a safe and supported working area
* Work passionately to reduce and eliminate waste as part of Diageo's Sustainability efforts
* Operate machine or plant processes following defined standard operating procedures
* Drive performance of the equipment on a line or process area - RCA, SIC, Op led Asset Care, DT recording (tagging), hygiene standards
* Delivery of Diageo Health & Safety commitments
Day Operator
As a Day Operator, the day-to-day running of our sites is your focus. You’ll work safely within the operational team, ensuring delivery of collective dedication. Develop operational, improvement, and maintenance skills to support operations. Be accountable for delivery of effective communications to team members that works across shifts.
Key deliverables are:
* Ensuring site hygiene is maintained to a high standard
* Compliance checks across your working area
* Spirit tankers are loaded safely and efficiently
* Supporting with various site daily tasks and working with the management team to improve the site
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets including quality, efficiency, energy management, planning and cost efficiency.
Senior Operator roles will cover a 5 or 7-day annualised hours rota across night-shift backshift & early shift, Day Operators cover a 5-day rota across day shift, providing on-site support to the distillery.
