About Us: Chorley New Road Primary Academy is proud to be part of the Albany Learning Trust, a charitable education trust based in Lancashire. The Trust is dedicated to providing an excellent education for all children and supporting local communities through collaborative excellence.
In recognition of our commitment to staff development, Albany Learning Trust was honoured with the Staff Development Award at the 2024 MAT Excellence Awards. The judges commended the Trust’s exceptional dedication to staff development and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Our school has a rich history, originating from the first Horwich Board School founded in 1896. In September 2018, we moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art building designed to provide an amazing space both indoors and outdoors, enabling our children to receive the highest standard of education.
