Classroom Assistant - Autism specialist
We are looking for a Classroom Assistant, specifically to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This opportunity is based in Penarth, South Wales.

- Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

What is the role of a Classroom Assistant?
As a Classroom Assistant you will work with learners with additional needs supporting them throughout the school day. You will support them throughout lessons helping with the running of activities and tasks lead by the Teacher. You may need to support with personal care and feeding depending on the learners needs.
The school supports learners from around the Vale of Glamorgan with Mild, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties. We are looking for people that have experience supporting people with Additional Needs, but this does not have to be from an education setting e.g. Support Worker / Care. The school will offer you mentoring support, training and guidance to the right applicant.
We are looking for a Classroom Assistant that is confident working with learners through the school from ages 3-19 with various needs. It is important the Classroom Assistant is flexible to work with all learners as they may be expected to support in different classes.
What will I need to work in schools?
- Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS (We can assist you with this)
- Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- 2 Employment References
- 3 CPD courses, including Safeguarding - FREE Through us
