NVQ 3 Qualified Residential Support Workers are required for permanent AND Bank shifts in Children homes in Stafford.
This home is located on the edge of a residential estate and is registered for three children and young people. They currently have full occupancy in the home, and all children and young people are supported on a 1:1 basis.
The home is Ofsted rated Good at present; they don’t anticipate this will decline during this inspection cycle.

Can you commit to a 2 on 4 off shift pattern (8am-11pm sleep-in duty, wake at 7:30am-11pm, sleep-in duty finishing at 8:30am)?
Are you the Team player to:
1. Maintain boundaries and support colleagues in managing behaviours that may challenge.
2. Support and participate in young people's social, life-long learning plans, and recreational activities in line with care/support plans, trips out, and holidays.
3. Act as a Key worker to a specified individual young person, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support, ensuring all medical needs are met, and supporting the young person to advocate for his/her own needs and wishes.
4. Encourage young people to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
5. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate must have:
1. NVQ 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or be happy to work towards this.
2. Previous experience working with children with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities.
