We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Home Manager for Adults with Mental Health Conditions. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the care home operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social care management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with Mental Health Conditions.
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direction to the care home staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
* Ensuring all aspects of the Statement Of Purpose are achieved
* Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care, staff performance, and operational activities.
* Management of quality control systems.
* Monitor the quality of care and support services provided, conducting regular assessments and evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Ensure all aspects of the National Minimum Standards are met.
* Maintain suitable and appropriate staff levels in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of care home staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and maintaining a Staff Training Matrix.
* Manage the care home budget effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
* Ensure fabric and decorative order are appropriately planned, monitored and maintained
* Monitor the requirements of Health and Safety Act.
* Monitor all equipment for correct maintenance and replace when necessary.
* Maintain close communications with the Care Providers/ Register Owners ensue they are informed of any difficulty in reaching CQC requirement
* Act as a liaison between residents, their families, and external agencies, advocating for their needs and interests.
* Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion within the care home, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among residents.
Requirements:
* NVQ 5 in Adult Social Care or similar (preferred).
* NVQ 3 in Adult Social Care or similar (required).
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a care home or similar setting, preferably working with adults with Mental Health Conditions
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements governing care homes for adults with Mental Health Conditions .
