The Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will gain hands-on leadership experience while working towards a Registered Manager position. You will be instrumental in ensuring the home provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This role is designed for ambitious individuals eager to step into a Registered Manager position within a short timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and manage staff to ensure outstanding levels of care
* Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as the safeguarding lead in the Manager’s absence, ensuring best practices are upheld
* Care Planning & Implementation: Oversee and refine personalised care plans to support each child’s development
* Quality Assurance & Ofsted Readiness: Assist with inspections, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvements
* Structured Career Development: Engage in our tailored training plan designed to transition you into a Registered Manager role
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within a children’s residential care setting
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it)
* Skills & Knowledge: Strong leadership, safeguarding expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding care
* Personal Qualities: Motivated, compassionate, resilient, and eager to progress into a senior leadership role
