Hours of work: 37.5 including potential weekends, bank holidays and evenings
Band: 4 FIXED TERM 12 MONTHS
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within CAMHS. You will take a role in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the well-being of children and young people. Working within a systemic and holistic framework, you will support the Multi-Disciplinary Team with therapeutic interventions with children and young people, their families, and carers who present to the service.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a suitably qualified/experienced individual with a genuine interest in and desire to work with this client group. You should have good verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working in a busy multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be able to co-work effectively with colleagues, manage a small case load with support from the case manager, support groups, and work independently. Full training will be given.
A means of transport is essential, and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Person Specification
Education
* NVQ Level 4 or HND qualification in child/social studies, Health or Education or Social Services or equivalent. Level 3 will be considered if the individual has considerable practical experience.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of signs and symptoms of a range of problematic psychological presentations (attachment, anxiety, low resilience, low self-confidence, etc.).
Experience
* Evidence of working with children and young people who present with emotional health difficulties, and/or evidence of providing family support to parents/carers presenting with psychological difficulties, and/or previous experience of working in a community setting with children, young people, and their families with significant mental health presentations and/or social care needs and/or educational needs, and/or previous experience working with young people who self-harm.
