This is an exciting time to join the Public Engagement Unit as we embark on a renewed agenda for public involvement and engagement with research at the University of Bath. The Deputy Head of Public Engagement will be key in supporting this work. About the role The Deputy Head of Public Engagement manages the development and delivery of activities that support high-quality public involvement and engagement with research falling across three categories of work: Capacity and capability building activities Public involvement and engagement opportunities Building and maintaining relationships externally and internally The role is also responsible for managing the staff, budgets and communications work of the Public Engagement Unit. Established in 2012, the Public Engagement Unit has been at the forefront of advancing the practice and thinking around public engagement with research at the University of Bath and the wider higher education sector. The Unit's work contributes to the Research Pillar of the University Strategy by supporting high-quality, responsible engagement to ensure that our research is aligned closely with societal need while also positively contributing to community groups and other public contributors.
