Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Assistant to join our partner store in Cirencester on a 30-hour full-time contract. You will be reliable and hardworking and have a passion for delivering excellent levels of customer service. The ideal candidate will be confident developing selling opportunities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a brand ambassador and will be responsible for representing the Barbour brand in a positive and professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the store manager to drive sales, achieve KPI targets and execute store operations to the highest standards.
* Manage the merchandising of all product onto the shop floor and implement window and internal displays.
* Responsible for all store operations and team performance in the absence of the Store manager and Supervisor.
* Drive commercial excellence reinforcing and delivering high standards of customer service.
* Act as a brand ambassador ensuring you and the team keep up to date with all new products and services.
* Lead, train and develop your team to maximise their potential and create a culture to ensure the customer is at the centre of everything we do.
Skills and Experience:
* Excellent customer care and advanced selling skills.
* Keen interest in visual merchandising and fashion.
* Understanding of requirements to work in a target orientated environment.
* Acting with a professional and respectful manner to all individuals.
* Understanding current market trends in relation to clothing/fashion.
* Effective time management skills for organising self appropriately.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships internally at all business levels.
* Ability to work to target.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Able to analyse basic internal data and translate it into actions.
* Understanding and ability to implement visual merchandising standards.
* Information Technology skills including experience of EPOS systems, MS Outlook.
* Flexibility with working hours is essential.

* You will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and have a keen interest in visual merchandising and fashion. Attention to detail is key, as is having a flexible approach and the ability to work to targets.
