We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic person to play an active role in the College’s large, thriving and highly successful Visual Arts Department. Working alongside a highly experienced team of subject specialists, the ideal candidate for this role will have a good level of knowledge and passion for Fashion & Textile Design.

Sustainable fashion design is a vital aspect of modern textile studies, focusing on reducing environmental impact while promoting ethical production. Students develop their understanding of eco-friendly materials and innovative approaches. Ethical considerations and responsible sourcing are also key. By engaging with sustainable design principles, students can develop creative solutions that balance aesthetics with environmental responsibility, preparing them for a future in conscious fashion.
Following the AQA Specification, you will be required to teach some GCSE and A level Textile Design classes as well as offer workshops and extra-curricular clubs across the year groups. A genuine love of the subject and a desire to inspire and stretch motivated students is essential.
Additional duties include: visual displays, organisation of internal and external exhibitions, student competitions, educational day/residential trips within the UK and abroad.
We will consider new teachers or graduates wishing to embark on a teacher training qualification and welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full time or part time position.
