WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for a welder to join our Engineering solutions team based in Newbridge on a full time permanent basis. The overall purpose of the role is to design, join and shape metal to create structures, objects and component parts or repair existing ones. The Welder will read and interpret welding specifications in order to establish the correct process.,
* Read and interpret drawings and plans to develop and design welding projects
* Interpret welding procedures, specifications and standards in engineering construction
* Lay out, fit, measure and weld metals to create desired shape or object
* Operate welding equipment
* Use burning equipment
* Manufacture using detailed drawings
* Inspect and test welds for durability as well as meeting specified standards, highlighting any items that do not meet job requirements
* Inspect, examine and text equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed
* Complete reports, RAMS, job sheets in a clear and concise manner
* Detail welding procedures, programmes and work methods
* Liaise with both internal and external customers
* Provide updates to Fabrication Supervisor advising of job progress
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a welding role ideally within an engineering setting, the ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of team as well and on your own.
