Are you an experienced Hybrid Cloud Product Owner with a strong technical background and a passion for driving cloud infrastructure strategies? Join Serco’s UK & Europe division as a Product Owner – Hybrid Cloud, where you will define, plan, and deliver the vision for Serco’s hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritise features, and guide development teams to ensure the successful implementation of secure and scalable hybrid cloud solutions.
We are looking for a strategic leader with agile product delivery expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the hybrid cloud infrastructure.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into a prioritised product backlog.
* Work closely with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality hybrid cloud solutions.
* Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure hybrid cloud products meet performance and reliability standards.
* Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to keep Serco’s hybrid cloud infrastructure competitive.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with the hybrid cloud environment.
* Ensure all hybrid cloud products adhere to security standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory policies.
* Oversee upgrade and patch management to maintain system integrity and performance.
* Work with the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team to track and manage cloud assets.
* Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and workflows.
* Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents.
What You’ll Need:
* Extensive experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure management, or product ownership.
* Strong knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integration.
* Expertise in cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and cost management.
* Experience with DevOps tools, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
* Proficiency in containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Strong understanding of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-based security protocols.
* Familiarity with ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
* Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
* Strong decision-making and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
* Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are desirable.
