Your new company We are currently working with a Public Sector organisation to help recruit a Contract Manager to join their Strategic Procurement team. You'll be joining an organisation that plays a key part in delivering services to the local community and a team that ensures these services are operating efficiently and to standards. Your new role Reporting into the Head of Procurement, your main focus will be leading the organisation's approach to contract management. By working closely with stakeholders, service leads & the procurement team, you'll have oversight to develop the contract management strategy and best practices, helping to drive value across the organisation's services. Alongside this, you'll also govern a portfolio of corporate contracts to help gain increased value from suppliers, mitigate risk and control the overall spend. These will have no set category but will focus on some of the larger, lengthy & critical contracts for the business. Key Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of contracts across a variety of categories, ensuring value and risk mitigation Oversee complex contract negotiation and contract reviews at renewal point Creation of contract KPIs, quality reviews and relationship management to ensure service quality Developing and implementing financial controls Create the organisation's contract management strategy, best practice and training approach Lead engagement with senior stakeholders & service leads, aiming to create a contracts register Act as the contract management lead, providing commercial advice where necessary Contribute towards the development of contract management frameworks What you'll need to succeed A relevant degree or procurement & supply chain qualification (CIPS) or time-served A broad understanding of public sector procurement and PCR 2015 Proven experience in a Contract Manager role Strong stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management skills An understanding of contract law & regulations What you'll get in return A salary of up to £49,498 A hybrid working pattern; twice a month in the Bristol office & ad-hoc visits (Bristol area) Competitive public sector pension Generous holiday allowance Annual salary reviews inline with bandings Continued learning and development, qualification sponsorship, retail discounts, MOT discounts & more.
