Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum/pro rata
Overseeing and delivering care to children and young people in specialist pre-school and school provisions. Training staff in school to meet the healthcare needs of children and young people.
Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the child/young person's care. Delivering therapeutic interventions to pre-school children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities and additional health care needs.
Provision of evidence-based clinical training to school staff including a rolling programme of core training and additional bespoke training to meet the individual health care needs of children attending Meadowfields school. Training topics include enteral feeding, airway suction, oxygen delivery, anaphylaxis awareness, epilepsy awareness, emergency medication administration such as buccal midazolam and rectal paraldehyde.
Triage children and young people that have been referred to the nursing team by school staff to see if they meet eligibility for the nursing team caseload and assess the level of need and identify any clinical training that is required.
