We are seeking
a highly motivated Data Scientist to join the Health Data Science and Epidemiology research group led by. The research specialises in large-scale data analyses exploring cardiovascular disease, with a particular emphasis on women-specific cardiovascular risk factors such as autoimmune diseases, pregnancy outcomes, and long-term disease trajectories. As a core member of the team, you will lead and contribute to high-quality epidemiological research and statistical analyses using complex, large-scale health data. You will support study design and analysis, contribute to publications and funding proposals, provide mentorship to junior team members and collaborate with internal and external partners by presenting findings at conferences and public events. You must hold a PhD/DPhil in a relevant field, alongside a degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science). A strong background in statistics or data science, proficiency in R or Python and experience managing complex datasets and analytical workflows are also essential for this role. This position is offered on a full-time and fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance.
