About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for managing production planning processes to ensure optimal scheduling and supply chain efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a background in supply chain, strong analytical skills, and the ability to adapt plans based on real-time information. You will be expected to anticipate potential risks, propose alternative solutions, and continuously seek improvements in planning and performance.
This role requires collaboration across multiple departments, including engineering, quality, material management, and logistics, to drive seamless production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage production plans for the finishing departments, ensuring maximum On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance.
Monitor production progress, adjusting schedules as needed to meet business demands.
Identify potential risks in production and implement proactive solutions.
Raise internal orders for trial production.
Manage inventory levels, ensuring timely usage of semi-finished goods (SFG) and finished goods (FG) while coordinating with the quality department and finishing supervisor.
Oversee packaging specifications, working closely with the finishing manager and customer service representatives (CSR).
Maintain planning master data in relevant systems.
Track and analyse key planning KPIs (OTIF, plan adherence, downtime, stock levels, etc.).
Prepare and lead planning meetings.
Work cross-functionally to improve material planning and supply chain processes.
Liaise with sales and customer service teams to resolve supply issues.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management.
Manufacturing industry experience (preferred).
Familiarity with scheduling programs.
Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
