A teaching assistant is needed for an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for students aged 4-14.
As a teaching assistant, you will support students with complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviour, including students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).
This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Working with and supporting students with ASD and other complex learning requirements.
2. Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
3. Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
4. Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
5. Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.
6. Assisting with lesson planning and delivery to help students develop their communication and independence.
7. Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
1. The right to work in the UK.
2. A clear and up-to-date DBS.
3. Experience working as a teaching assistant.
4. Experience working with young people and an understanding of ASD.
5. A patient, caring and resilient attitude.
