Due to our ongoing success we are rapidly growing and seek an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team, working on the design and development of cutting-edge dams, hydropower and pumped storage hydro solutions. This role can be based anywhere in the UK. It is a great opportunity to join a growing multi disciplinary team involved in projects as varied and different as Coire Glas in Scotland, Koysha in Ethiopia, and Dinorwig in Wales, as well as supporting many of the UK water companies with inspections, remediation and development of new dams and reservoirs. Read more about our work at; Stantec Hydropower & Dams We are looking for a PM who can lead these, often large, complex and multi-disciplinary projects, often involving significant risk and the need to work with multiple stakeholders. Your role will include traditional advisory, Owner’s Engineer, client facing concept design, contractor facing detailed design, remediation and troubleshooting, installation support and Lender’s engineer / insurance / due diligence support. You will proactively lead the team to successfully deliver our objectives on time, to budget and to the appropriate quality. This is an exciting opportunity for a project manager who is passionate about sustainable energy and eager to make a significant impact in the industry. About You You will be degree qualified and hold or be working towards an appropriate Project Management qualification such as APM’s PMQ / ChPP or PMI’s PMP. You will have manage large hydropower projects, or have demonstrable experience leading major complex water and/or energy sector projects (fees in excess of £500k on projects with a construction value well in excess of £10m). You will be hands-on and foster great team dynamics and working relationships and be emotionally intelligent when it comes to your own, your teams and your clients’ feelings, concerns and wellbeing. You will bring extensive demonstrable core project management technical skills such as cost, schedule, risk, stakeholder, resource, governance management. Experience working within a contractor organisation or on the consultancy side of large Design and Build projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
