Salary: Grade 8 Point 25-28 ( £27,979 - £30,125 actual gross annual salary )

Ings Primary School is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. The Orchard provision at Ings is an ASC hub for 10 pupils. This post presents an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of successful work with pupils with SEND to shape future development. The post-holder will lead the provision and a small team of TAs, supported by both the SLT and the Lead Teacher from our ASC Hub.
The purpose of the additional provision is to work with pupils:
* Away from mainstream classes over an extended time period.
* To deliver a curriculum that meets needs and develops cooperation.
* To support the development of skills and strategies to manage social, emotional and mental health issues such as anger and anxiety by the use of self-regulation strategies
* To integrate pupils to mainstream classes where possible as a blended learning approach
We are looking for a candidate who
* Understands the needs of pupils with SEND and how they best learn in an environment that supports their wellbeing.
* Can lead the Additional Provision successfully, bring creativity and initiative to this demanding role.
We also expect candidates to have excellent communication skills as well as excellent skills in English, Maths and other curriculum areas. The candidate will be hard working, creative, enthusiastic and able to work constructively and proactively as part of a team.
