Job Duties:
* Deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)
* Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of UASC learners
* Assess students' language proficiency and progress regularly
* Provide additional support and guidance to students as needed
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
* Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the ESOL programme
Required Qualifications:
* Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL)
* Experience in teaching ESOL to diverse student groups
* Understanding of the specific challenges faced by UASC learners
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of ESOL teaching methodologies and best practises
* Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Fluency in English and knowledge of other languages is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with UASC or refugee populations
* Additional qualifications in Special Education or Multicultural Education
Working Conditions:
The UASC ESOL Tutor role involves working in a classroom or home setting with UASC learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
