Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Solicitor to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, providing expert advice and representation to clients on matters such as divorce, child custody, and financial settlements. This role requires excellent communication skills, a high level of IT proficiency, and exceptional organisational abilities to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
Duties
* Provide legal advice and representation in family law matters, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, and financial settlements.
* Prepare legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, and agreements.
* Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients to reach amicable resolutions.
* Represent clients in court hearings and mediations as required.
* Maintain accurate records and manage case files efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases and provide updates on legal proceedings.
* Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and financial advisors, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
* Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and best practices.
Qualifications
* Qualified solicitor with a practising certificate in family law.
* 1-3 years PQE.
* Proven experience in handling family law cases is essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
* Proficient in IT systems relevant to legal practice management and documentation.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
* A compassionate approach towards clients facing challenging personal circumstances.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
