The LSAB is seeking applications from individuals with both the passion and commitment for safeguarding the most vulnerable members of society. Cheshire West and Chester’s statutory safeguarding partners are looking for a person with experience of providing administrative support. This role requires an individual with proven experience to be responsible for processing work for the Adults Safeguarding Board so that the functions of those areas are progressed efficiently and within agreed timescales according to defined procedures and to undertake a range of administrative activities, including minute taking, the production and distribution of documents, correspondence, handling sensitive data and information; and the organisation and servicing of meetings and events, as part of the service support function, linking in with corporate systems in order to contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of operational services.

Our Business Support Officers play a critical role in supporting teams to meet the administrative demands and consider innovative solutions to meet the needs of the service.

You will have:
NVQ level 3 in business administration or equivalent
Experience of minute taking and servicing complex meetings (Essential)
Have proven communication skills between organisations and individuals
Experience of use of computer systems (Outlook/Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/Liquid Logic) and data bases and collating information
To function efficiently and professionally in a busy office environment in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures
Ability to work independently with confidence and discretion
Have good communication and interpersonal skills, through face to face, telephone contact and emails
Understanding the importance of confidentiality and apply this to the area of work
