Description The AWS Industry Products (AIP) team directly collaborates with strategic customers on game-changing emerging technologies, building new industry-specific products to directly impact and transform industries at AWS scale. AIP products focus on delivering customer value by reducing the complexity and expertise required to build and operate modern digital industries on AWS. Simply put, our goal is to use the skill and scale of AWS to make the benefits of a connected world achievable for all businesses. We work closely with strategic customers to bring their domain expertise and our digital and innovation experience to solve industry-wide challenges on AWS. You will get to solve some of the most challenging problems in the world work with industry leaders across multiple verticals such as consumer, industrial, chemical, cosmetic, automotive, etc. If you can touch it, it has been manufactured Our technical challenges involve back-end software engineering, edge computing, applied science, and front-end application development. We need to develop and apply quantitative algorithms (e.g. machine learning, computer vision, network optimization) to make industry process analysis relevant and actionable for operations engineers. We build software and information systems to process massive scale operational data, infer information relationship across complex systems, train decision models and apply them to critical operations at industrial scale. We work very closely with innovative, market leading customers to drive effective digital transformation of entire industries and the supply chains that support them. Key job responsibilities The Senior Front-End Engineer (FEE) will lead long-term architecture, design and development efforts, as well as operations of AWS Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for Manufacturing, Healthcare and Life Sciences, influencing teams across AIP and AWS in multiple disciplines including product management, User Experience (UX) design and research, backend services, data science, solution architecture, application and information security, among others. The Senior FEE will collaborate with other engineers, data scientists and technical leaders to define the technology strategy, balancing shorter-term constraints with current and future business needs, demonstrating and fostering adoption of best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, from UX and software architecture and design patterns, through to prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and integration, to monitoring, maintenance and support. The Senior FEE will ensure the team grows by training, mentoring, recruiting, assessing and providing career guidance to less experienced engineers. Basic Qualifications - Experience as a front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows - Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue) - Experience (non-internship) in professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST - Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns. - Experience with micro-front-end and backend-for-front-end frameworks, and graphQL Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
