A highly regarded law firm in Merseyside is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Litigation to lead their commercial and civil litigation department in Southport. Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the litigation department, managing a diverse caseload including property litigation, commercial disputes, estate disputes (contentious probate), and general civil litigation.
* Lead and mentor a team of litigators, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality legal services.
* Handle complex cases from inception to resolution, including court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution.
* Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the department and enhance service delivery.
* Foster strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and legal expertise.
Requirements:
* Ideal candidate will have c. 5 years PQE in litigation, with extensive experience in commercial and civil litigation.
* Proven track record in managing a litigation team or department.
* Expertise in handling a full range of litigation matters, including property, commercial disputes, and contentious probate.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stakes cases effectively.
