The applicant will require a good foundation in all the core skills and values of Social work and be able to apply a strengths-based approach to supporting the residents of Cheshire East.
We have an exciting opportunity in the South Locality for a Social worker to join the Adult Contact Team South.
Our practice is underpinned by strength and asset-based approaches. The Social worker will work in partnership with other professionals, and alongside individuals, families, and carers who contact the service to achieve individual outcomes. The team are supportive and take a preventative approach to reduce or delay an individuals’ needs, and to enable independence. We provide information and advice, and signpost people to community resources. The role also includes completion of safeguarding enquiries, adult needs assessments, carers assessments, and person centred support planning.
The position is based at Delamere House in Crewe and covers the whole of the South locality. Cheshire East Council operates a ‘flexible and mobile’ working policy.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathic person who is able to work creatively, flexibly and autonomously. Full induction, training, ASYE, and continuous professional development opportunities will be provided. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS. Driving licence essential.
