Job Description:
BI Developer with skills in BOBI, Tableau, PowerBI, and MS Fabric is urgently needed to support our higher education client on a new reporting platform including data modeling, data transformations, migrations, authentications, and implementing a reporting platform.
Essential Experience:
* Excellent technical skills in one of the following combinations: SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence & Power BI or Tableau & Power BI.
* Experience of creating data modeling and data transformation.
* Experience of implementing a reporting platform on-prem or cloud.
* In-depth knowledge of visualization practices and principles.
* Strong experience in configuring and managing servers, designing and deploying platforms using SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platforms, Tableau Servers, and MS PowerBI services.
* Knowledge of designing and developing visualizations using relevant reporting platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform, Tableau, and MS PowerBI.
* Experience in architecture and administration, including authentication, authorization and security, content management, monitoring and auditing, installation and backup, and troubleshooting on reporting platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, and MS PowerBI.
* Ability to build platforms independently based on a design or requirement is a must.
* Capability to develop complex visualizations independently based on a design or requirement is a must.
* Experience with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
* Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of creating data models and structures using Snowflake, Business Objects universes (UDT/IDT), Tableau, and associated design principles and standards, as well as data modeling concepts.
* Experience with unit testing and supporting stakeholders with user acceptance testing, including writing test plans.
* Experience conducting workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, document requirements, and translate them into technical designs.
Desirable Experience:
* Microsoft Fabric knowledge would be advantageous.
* Experience of working within a complex higher education environment or equivalent.
Hybrid working with 1-2 days per week on-site in central London.
£.00 per day inside IR35 - 6 months initially.
