Ocean Housing are currently looking to recruit a Supervisor within their Property Services function, who under the overall management and guidance of the Property Services Manager will have day to day responsibility for delivery and coordination of a high quality, efficient value for money customer focused service ensuring projects achieve the required quality and targets. This Supervisor will be responsible for the Planned/Project works within the Property Services function, however Supervisors are required to move their supervisory responsibilities within the Property Services function from time to time, as required. Upon appointment, the role is known as 'Property Services Supervisor' Key essential responsibilities include: Provide effective and efficient line management of operational staff who undertake servicing, repairs and renewals Ensure all works being undertaken meet the standards of Ocean Housing Property Services in relation to delivery timescale and quality Be the first point of contact where problems or issues arise and take responsibility to resolve them with operational staff Carry out inspections to determine work requirements and are raised and progressed in line with policies, procedures, specifications and time targets As a Supervisor you will be required to form part of the out of hour’s rota to provide supervisory support to those multi trade staff on call. Essential Qualifications and Experience Qualification in a relevant building trade to NVQ level 2 or equivalent or demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience and educated to an A Level or equivalent Level 3 qualification Experience of effective sub-contractor management Significant knowledge and experience of working in the building and/or property maintenance industry Demonstrable experience of effective supervision of staff and team building Knowledge and understanding across multiple trade disciplines Experience of effective sub-contractor management Experience in providing excellent customer service and developing relationships Experience of producing detailed work schedules Knowledge of CAR 2012 and CDM 2015 regulations Up to date knowledge of Health & Safety responsibilities in the workplace and lone working The post will be subject to a satisfactory Basic check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
