About the role
We’re looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to help lead the store team – coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members and deputising for the Store Manager, while also delivering great customer service and performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you’ll do
1. Provide friendly and thoughtful service – giving welcoming, helpful, and considerate assistance daily, managing store operations and handling challenging situations.
2. Develop your team’s capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone’s voice is valued and respected.
3. Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
4. Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to enhance shopping experiences.
5. Support your store manager by deputising when necessary and assisting with HR processes.
6. Lead the introduction of new products and services, working closely with your team to implement changes and gather feedback.
7. Build relationships and participate in your local community, supporting the delivery of the local Co-op community plan.
