This pivotal role will drive the transformation of safety practices in a high-risk, heavy engineering environment. SHE Manager Role Purpos e: Leading the safety transformation at a site employing 120 workers, you will drive the implementation of proactive safety strategies. Focused on hands-on engagement, your goal will be to improve safety standards and culture, moving beyond basic compliance. Key Responsibilities Drive the Group SHE strategy and align it with site goals Engage directly with teams, coaching leadership and employees to foster a safety-first mindset Implement both short-term and long-term safety initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement Lead accident investigations, conduct audits, and ensure critical safety controls (e.g., hand-arm vibration, noise) Collaborate with SHE teams across multiple sites (UK and abroad) to maintain consistent safety practices Ideal Candidate 5 years of SHE leadership in heavy manufacturing/steel environments. Hands-on experience with safety transformations and proactive employee engagement. Health and Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH preferred) Strong focus on enhancing safety controls and ensuring active safety capacity, rather than maintaining the status quo. Understanding of "safety differently" or "modern safety approach" principles.
