As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a crucial part of the UK & Ireland Controlling function, which includes financial reporting, controls, assurance, and accounting services.
This role focuses on maintaining balance sheet integrity and managing income statement analysis.
You will collaborate closely with the Business Unit Controller, helping to identify and implement process improvements that enhance cost management, mitigate financial risk, and standardise practices across the finance function.

Your key responsibilities include fulfilling financial obligations across customer contracts, ensuring accurate and timely account reporting and reconciliation.
You will drive key financial transactional processes while proactively assessing and communicating finance-related needs to both customers and ISS stakeholders.
The role also involves delivering value-added financial services to Account Leadership and Customers, aligning with the broader business objectives of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Complete Controls Self-Assessments and ensure adherence to internal financial control procedures
* Update controls framework for changes in processes and procedures
* Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with UK&I requirements
* Ensure accurate financial reporting by implementing reviewer recommendations
* Manage external, Group, UK&I internal audits, and Financial Controls & Assurance reviews
* Ensure timely and accurate month-end procedures: accruals, prepayments, and revenue-related transactions
* Review overdue accounts receivable and trade working capital reports, taking corrective actions
* Investigate and explain deviations from forecasts
* Run and review weekly open purchase order reports, minimising aged POs
* Support Key Account Managers/Directors in business reviews and Finance Business Partners in customer reporting
* Oversee balance sheet control activities: prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, contract receivables, provisions
* Manage income statement control activities: analytical reviews, customer profitability analysis, payroll, and overhead management
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Qualified/ or Part qualified/ studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or equivalent qualification by experience
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Exercise good judgement and decision-making skills
* Analytical skills and the ability to interpret and pass on complex information
* Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills
* Meticulous attention to detail
