A vacancy has arisen for a Graduate Engineer to join our team.
The Graduate Engineer role exists to support project delivery across all our activities.
S&B Utilities Limited is involved in all major civils and engineering sectors, working in exciting areas such as the Ministry of Defence and the regulated water industry.
Work carried out by us includes:
1. New sewage pumping stations
2. Main laying
3. Rising mains
4. Clean water repairs
5. Sewage repairs
6. Valve installations
7. Hydrant installations
8. Meter installations
9. Manhole chambers and covers
Civil engineering is also a core part of S&B Utilities Ltd, operating across numerous sectors including water, construction, environmental, private, and industrial, while providing specialist support to other divisions within the business.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties:
1. Develop Design Deliverables:
2. Cable Modelling using Amtech Software
3. Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Cable schedules, Instrument schedules
4. Pump Drive Schedules
5. Valve Schedules
6. Assist with P&ID development
7. Pump Calculations
8. Pipework sizing using modelling software
9. Produce BOM for project requirements
10. Assist in the Control element of the project to produce:
11. Control Philosophy
12. I/O Schedules
13. Control Panel Specifications
14. Attend HAZOP & ALM
15. Assist with Commissioning of the Works
16. Commissioning Plans
17. Pre & Function Commissioning Plans
18. Attend Factory & Site Acceptance Testing FAT / SFAT
19. Pre & Function Testing
20. Assist with the Process Commissioning of the Works
21. Prepare Operational & Maintenance Manual Production
22. Prepare Ad-Hoc reports as required
23. Responsible for Maintaining Quality Documents
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:
1. Full UK Driving License
2. Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Package
3. Qualified to bachelor's degree level minimum
4. AutoCAD experience essential
5. Team Player
6. Confident & friendly
7. Practical, logical, adaptable with the ability to remain calm under pressure
8. Work well on their own with minimum supervision
9. Flexible
10. Positive attitude to safety
11. Good time management skills
