The Role:
As Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for the organisation and planning of site activities for works at Sizewell C power station, leading a team of Project Managers, who will run the sites day-to-day, to ensure the timely and quality delivery of each of your projects. Works will cover a range of infrastructure works, enabling and stabilisation packages, compound set-ups and pads/bases.
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard.
* Managing and coordinating sub-contractors, suppliers and materials, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
* Managing all contractual aspects of the construction projects, including variations, claims, and disputes.
* Managing client expectations and maintaining regular communication to ensure satisfaction and retention.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
* Alongside a Quantity Surveyor, monitoring and controlling project costs, including labour, materials, and equipment expenses.
* Communicating regularly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress and any issues that arise.
* Resolving disputes and conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Either formally qualified with a Degree, NVQ or HNC in Construction Management and/or a suitable trade background (both is a bonus but one or the other essential).
* Previous Contracts Management experience working for a civil engineering, infrastructure or rail specialist, with a project scope covering works ranging from £500k to £10m individually.
