As an Operational Buyer in the Tier 1 Automotive industry, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring essential components and materials to support the production of automotive parts. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and management to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
1. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and pricing standards.
2. Place purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and resolve any issues related to deliveries or quality.
3. Negotiate favorable pricing and manage costs effectively to contribute to the company's profitability.
4. Collaborate with logistics and production teams to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
5. Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
6. Work with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet the required quality standards.
7. Identify opportunities to improve the procurement process, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in operational buying within the Tier 1 Automotive industry.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
4. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
5. Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
