Job summary An opening has arisen at Woodlands Park Health Centre for a Salaried GP with a view to Partnership to join our friendly, dynamic and forward thinking team. The post holder will be expected to work four sessions weekly, with two of those sessions on-call. The post is a salaried position with a fixed term contract of six months at first, with a view to join the Partnership thereafter. Main duties of the job In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. QOF engagement and Long Term Condition Management. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. Work two sessions on-call. Participation in leadership and training roles in the practice. About us Woodlands Park Health Centre is a well-established practice that serves just over 6,500 patients. We currently have three GP Partners and a Managing Partner who employ one Assistant Practice Manager, one salaried GP, two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, two Physician Associates, two Practice Nurses, a Health Care Assistant, a Clinical Pharmacist and a Pharmacy Technician. Our clinical team members are supported by a friendly and skilled clerical team which consist of seven members of staff. We are also a training Practice and, as such, often have GP Registrars on site.
