About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Employee Relations Officer (ERO) to join our HR team. The ERO will lead on employee relations matters, partnering with operational leadership to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices while fostering a positive workplace culture.
As the Employee Relations Officer, you will:
1. Lead on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management, ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws.
2. Partner with managers to address and resolve workplace challenges, providing expert guidance on proactive and preventative solutions.
3. Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns and policy violations with sensitivity and professionalism.
4. Deliver tailored training and development to managers on employee relations practices.
5. Analyse employee relations data to identify trends and recommend workplace improvements.
6. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Qualifications
1. CIPD Level 3 minimum (Level 5 or higher preferred, or actively working towards).
2. Relevant experience in a similar HR or Employee Relations role, ideally within the care sector.
Skills and Experience
1. Proven track record in managing multiple ER cases, including absence management, performance improvement, and workplace disputes.
2. Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance standards, and best practices.
3. Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
4. Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, T&A) and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
5. Experience supporting organisational change and service improvement initiatives.
